Martinsville High School (Martinsville, Virginia)

Martinsville High School is a public secondary school located in Martinsville, Virginia, and is the only high school in the Martinsville public school system. As of 2007, its Boys Basketball Team has won 13 State Championships. It offers such programs as the International Baccalaureate, Piedmont Regional Governor’s School, Advanced Placement, and Dual Enrollment classes. During the 2006-2007 school year, a new joint program, with the assistance of Patrick Henry Community College, allowed a select group of juniors and seniors and opportunity to earn their Associate's Degree (64 college hours) before graduation.

The arts are also alive and well at Martinsville High School. The marching band performed in the Virginia Inauguration parade and the school hosted the Regional Choir Performance. The Gospel Choir is well known state wide. Gospel Choir is also a class offered at Martinsville High School. The choir has also formed a new ensemble.
